Mike Headrick is a name recognized in various aspects of the music field. He is respected as record label owner, producer, arranger, engineer, songwriter, and Musician. In 1978 Mike returned to South Pittsburg, Tennessee after several years of backing some of the most prominent artists in Nashville, and playing Nashville sessions. Since then, he has owned and operated Mikron Recording, and produced thousands of country records including recordings for Charlie Louvin, Ernie Ashworth, Danny Shirley (Confederate Railroad), and hundreds of other noteworthy artists.

 

As a musician, Mike has earned a name for himself on several different instruments, the most prominent being the pedal steel guitar. This website showcases the many instrumental CDs mike has recorded since 1999, and also his teaching materials and rhythm tracks. Mike is always thinking and planning ahead for new materials and concepts to aid aspiring steel guitarists. Check back often, because new products will be added as Mike has time to create them.

 

Mike continues to record and does all the other things associated with his long-standing career in the beautiful Sequatchee Valley in South East Tennessee, where he resides with Teri, his wife of 20 years.
